Barbara Crim, RN, MBA, CNOR – Administrator.

Norman (Norm) A. Willox, JrBarbara Crim brings 30 years of experience in healthcare to her role as the Administrator of CiNet Healthcare Learning. She is responsible for the accreditation processes, practices and overall quality of content for our educational activities in healthcare. Crim helps set standards to ensure that our continuing education activities comply with the guidelines and requirements set forth by accrediting bodies. She was a key developer of a Healthcare safety program, leveraging her lucrative first-hand career experience into content development.

During her career, Crim has been a staff nurse, supervisor, and director of operating room education in departments ranging in size from five to 52 operating rooms. In addition to her perioperative experience, Crim has held positions as team leader on a 45-bed surgical unit, physician’s assistant for an orthopedic surgeon, independent consultant in operating room management and education, and director in an organizational development department focusing on quality, process improvement, team development and safety.

Her background includes adult education, program development, curriculum design, video production, reengineering, JCAHO survey preparedness, quality initiatives and organizational and culture development. She has used this background to create OR Nurse Internships, staff development plans, national seminars, journal articles, textbook chapters, video scripts and independent learning offerings. As director of an OR education department, Crim managed a for-profit division providing educational seminars to healthcare companies and producing video-based independent study programs.

Crim is a national and international speaker on the topics of creativity, empowerment, effective presentation skills, competencies, adult learning, team development and process improvement, management and leader development, as well as other topics.

She holds a master of business administration from Amberton University in Garland, Texas, a bachelor of arts from Columbia College in Kansas City, Mo. and a diploma in nursing from Research School of Nursing in Kansas City, Mo.


Gwen Valois Director of Education.

Norman (Norm) A. Willox, JrGwen Valois is an accomplished author, presenter, educator and manager. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University, Denton, Texas, and her Masters of Science in Human Resource Management and Development from National Louis University, Atlanta, Georgia. She is ANCC-certified in Nursing Professional Development. As the Director of Organizational Development at Medical City Dallas Hospital, she served on the task force that helped the hospital achieve coveted MagnetTM status.

Valois has managed clinical and non-clinical educational programs, a training center for the American Heart Association, a medical library, and Continuing Medical Education departments for a variety of employers, including Houston Northwest Medical Center in Houston and Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

She also worked at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas and at Saint Anthony’s Hospital in Amarillo as a staff nurse and Pediatric Head Nurse.

At Medical City, she increased the number of internship programs offered for new graduate nurses, led the division in initiating PBDS (Performance Based Development System) for nurses new to the facility, started the implementation of a mentor program and increased the range of courses offered and used on the learning management system. She has planned, developed, implemented and evaluated continuing education programs for nurses, allied health professionals and support staff. She has also designed and implemented patient education programs.

Valois is a member of the National Nursing Staff Development Organization and has authored and co-authored numerous articles and served as a subject matter expert on a variety of topics.
